Magna Legal Services Expands Foreign Language Services Group with New Department Head
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) July 30, 2015 -- Magna Legal Services, one of the country’s largest jury research, litigation graphics and court reporting companies, today announced that Leonardo Durán has joined the firm as General Manager of the Foreign Language Services department. As part of Magna’s expansion into new marketplaces with regard to document translation and interpreting, Durán will lead the established team beyond the traditional legal industry, and into areas such as pharmaceutical, insurance, and other business targets.
Prior to joining Magna Legal Services, Durán has spent over 14 years in the translation industry, including seven years as a freelance translator of Spanish and German to English, and four years as a project manager for a translation and interpreting agency. A veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, he holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and international business from the University of Colorado.
Born in Spain to Cuban parents and raised in South Florida, Durán brings a unique multicultural viewpoint to Magna. He has lived and worked in many cities across the United States and in Europe and is a bona fide language expert. His years of experience on both the client and contractor side of the language services business give him a unique first-hand perspective on the needs and concerns of all parties involved.
“Leo becoming part of the team is just another exciting piece of the puzzle that we are building here at Magna in our efforts to address the needs of markets outside of pure legal fields,” said Tony Vaglica, CEO of Magna Legal Services. “He brings tremendous experience and resources that will help us to continue in our quest to redefine our services and better service our growing client and market base.”
