The Cliffs Signs Global Wakeboard Champion Abby Delgoffe
Greenville, South Carolina (PRWEB) July 29, 2015 -- The Cliffs has entered into an agreement with professional wakeboarder Abby Delgoffe to further the amenities and lake lifestyle for its members. Now as one of Delgoffe’s sponsors, The Cliffs has named her as its official Wakeboard Coach and a member of The Cliffs’ Wellness Team. As another added benefit to The Cliffs’ members and their guests, Delgoffe will provide a series of Wakeboard Weekends on Lake Keowee featuring demonstrations of her greatest tricks and small group clinics for all ages and experience levels.
Abby Delgoffe began wakeboarding in college. After turning pro in 2012, Abby took 7th overall at Wake Games, as well as a team division win. Currently ranked 12th in the world, the tour takes her around the world, from the USA to Canada, Mexico, Japan and Portugal.
Delgoffe first became affiliated with The Cliffs when she hosted her first wakeboard clinic on Lake Keowee last summer. She recently hosted the first of two wakeboarding demonstrations and a series of six clinics on June 25-28.
“Our inaugural wakeboarding event with Abby Delgoffe in 2014 created a ripple effect of interest. Last year, Abby catered and taught to the needs of each person individually. She had riders from the ages of 9 to 70 standing on a wakeboard for the first time in their lives, and even had seasoned riders challenging themselves to new levels,” stated Dr. Matt Ort, Director of Health, Fitness, and Recreation at The Cliffs.
