Starting this week, Seattle area Hampton Inn guests will be delighted with new interactive technology, powered by Signal360, intended to enhance their guest experience. As one of the early adopters in the hospitality space to deploy iBeacon™ technology, a group of hotels in the Pacific Northwest are leading the industry in interactive guest experience. Signal360, the premier proximity marketing provider, with more than four years experience and a complete, turnkey platform, integrated seamlessly into the Seattle hotels. Beacons have been installed, with more to deploy soon, and notifications will be delivered using the SnipSnap mobile application.

The Benefits to Hampton Inn & Suites Seattle/Kent, WA are significant, regarding both the personalization of the guest experience and internal efficiencies. With a focus on personalized guest experience, beacons will be used to deliver “Welcome” and “Thank You” messages, provide a digital concierge service and directions and maps to nearby locations, and will offer tailored/target notifications and recognition of repeat guests. Key to improving internal efficiencies and driving measurable ROI, beacons will also be used to reduce staff obligations by decreasing concierge questions, reducing front desk wait times, and will generate revenue from local restaurant advertisements and encourage reviews and surveys. For guests to receive notifications in the hotel, they must have the SnipSnap mobile application downloaded to their smart device. Hotel staff and signage will instruct guests to download the application if they do not already have it. With the application on their devices, when guests come within a specific proximity of a beacon, notifications will be delivered. As guest experience is the primary goal of this campaign, business intelligence tools unique to the Signal360 platform, such as frequency caps, have been placed on messaging to ensure that guests are not over messaged or spammed.
