Quintessa Medical Spa is happy to offer patients the latest treatment for noninvasive facial rejuvenation. Kybella is a nonsurgical treatment designed specifically for the elimination of excess tissue under the chin, referred to as submental fat. Quintessa MedSpa is one of the first locations in the state of Wisconsin to offer this innovative treatment.
Developed by Kythera Biopharmaceuticals, Kybella was approved by the FDA in April, for the elimination of submental fat. The injectable is made from Deoxycholic Acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body. When injected into tissues, Kybella destroys the outer membranes of fat cells, allowing them to dissolve organically. The body then absorbs and metabolizes the unwanted cells.
Each Kybella treatment consists of up to 50 individual injections. Depending on the severity of submental fatty tissue, between two and six sessions are required for optimal results. Since fat cells do not regrow, once they have been eliminated, patients can see permanent results.
After founding Campbell Facial Plastic Surgery, Dr. Andrew Campbell created the Quintessa Medical Spa. Bringing noninvasive Kybella to his patients was an obvious choice for Dr. Campbell, who states, “We love what we do and we’re great at it. (Quintessa is known for bringing) anti-aging treatment options that deliver real results and look natural.” Kybella is a unique product that provides dramatic results without the expense and extensive recovery of surgery.
Kybella is available at all three of the Quintessa Medical Spa locations: Mequon, Sheboygan, and Delafield. If you have further questions about this one-of-a-kind injectable, contact the Quintessa Medical Spa in Mequon at 262.242.7772 for more information. During the complimentary, in-person or online Kybella consultation, a personalized rejuvenation plan will be created.
