KeepCalling does it again! The American telecom company recently donated $3,000 to Wikipedia, to show its everlasting appreciation for the world’s largest online encyclopedia. It’s already become a tradition for KeepCalling to donate to Wikipedia, as this is its fifth donation in six years. Donating to Wikipedia is a tradition KeepCalling cares about, because everybody uses it, including KeepCalling employees, who base their researches and market analysis on information provided by the 7th most visited website in the world.
KeepCalling first made a $1,000 donation to Wikipedia in 2010 and over the years the amounts donated increased. In 2011, KeepCalling donated $2,000, while in 2012 and 2014 the donation amounted to $4,000.
14 years, 35 million articles in 288 different languages, 500 million unique visitors per month, and the story goes on. Wikipedia can only survive through donations, so KeepCalling played its part in ensuring it stays free for everyone to use for many years to come. The international calling company chose to contribute to Wikipedia because it promotes knowledge, it's free and easy to use, and it can give an answer to almost any question.
The donation made by KeepCalling is part of a large social responsibility program aiming to support NGOs that bring real value to local communities or to the world at large, in the field of education, social support, animal care, or sports.
