Trusted school communication provider recognized by leading SIS company for its SSO, data exchange, and embedded UI capabilities

These new certifications highlight our deep integration, and longtime partnership, with PowerSchool.

SchoolMessenger, the trusted provider of K-12 communication solutions and a subsidiary of West Corporation, today announced that its award-winning school notification service had been recognized for its deep integration with PowerSchool, the most widely used student information system (SIS) in K-12 education.

Under its newly-updated Independent Software Vendor (ISV) program, PowerSchool offers customers more insight into ISV partner integrations by precisely specifying which integration capabilities are possessed by each vendor. SchoolMessenger was the first ISV partner to be certified for all three capabilities: Single Sign-On (SSO) integration, data exchange, and embedded user interface (UI).

“As the notification provider for more PowerSchool districts than any other organization, maintaining our leadership position in integration is one of our top priorities,” said Robert Iskander, general manager of SchoolMessenger. “These new certifications highlight our deep integration, and longtime partnership, with PowerSchool.”

“SchoolMessenger has built a robust integration with PowerSchool offering an intuitive, seamless connection to the many customers that rely on both of our products,” said Oliver Wreford, vice president of product & marketing for PowerSchool. “SchoolMessenger’s integration badge certifications provide millions of K-12 users with the assurance that SchoolMessenger and PowerSchool deliver an integrated product experience.”

More than 1,000 PowerSchool districts across North America use SchoolMessenger, putting SchoolMessenger far ahead of any other notification platform. Thanks to SchoolMessenger’s robust integration, PowerSchool school districts can easily send alerts and notifications to parents directly from within PowerSchool while keeping student data safe and secure.
