New Service Introduces Business Sources Like Salesforce and Google Analytics, Automates Hundreds of New Actions With IFTTT, and Enables Developers to Build Custom Channels With New Open APIs

Numerous, a new service that follows life's most important numbers, today announced all-new iOS and Android applications, seven new business channels, deep integration with IFTTT, and a new developer platform. Effective immediately, the fully redesigned apps are available for free on the App Store and Google Play.

Numerous follows life's most important numbers—anything from an opportunity-to-win ratio in Salesforce, to a diabetic child's blood glucose level, to the elapsed time since the last tweet, to the countdown to the new Star Wars movie—all readily available at a glance. After install, users can add and customize numbers into discrete dashboards and set up automatic push notifications to be sent when an important number changes based on a threshold or receives a comment or like.

“The world is increasingly instrumented and life is increasingly quantified. We want people to be able to spend less time checking their phones and more time enjoying life,” said Numerous co-founder Charlie Wood. “With today’s launch, Numerous realizes our vision of an end-to-end system that connects people to the numbers that permeate their lives and puts those numbers to work.”

The company today also announced all-new business-oriented channels. Hundreds of new business numbers can now be created from a variety of new sources including: Salesforce (the most requested channel to date), Stripe, Facebook Pages, Coinbase, Google Sheets, Google Analytics, and Google Calendar.

“Numerous goes beyond simply tracking numbers,” said Wood. “We are introducing a new way to communicate with and around them. No more constantly switching between apps, signing into websites, digging through emails, or running reports just to be up to date. Numerous keeps all of those numbers up to date all in one place and makes them available at a glance with a well-designed experience.”

In addition to the fully redesigned app and new business channels, Numerous now also integrates more deeply with IFTTT to enable the creation of countless new recipes. With the integration, Numerous can trigger actions as well as update numbers in the app from IFTTT events. This unlocks practically limitless potential and gives IFTTT and Numerous fans a swath of new channels—such as HealthKit, Google Sheets, or Stripe—to build new recipes with. Numerous—and all of the sources of numbers it connects to—can now act as both the “this” and “that” in “if this then that”.

“Through our deep integration with IFTTT, we allow people to put their numbers to work for them,” said Numerous co-founder John Scalo. “Whether it’s with a recipe that posts to Slack when your sales top $100,000, or one that sends you a text when your child’s blood glucose level drops too low, you can now check less because Numerous does the work for you.”

With this release, Numerous is also announcing a new Developer Platform. The platform includes access to two REST APIs: the Metrics API, used to create and update numbers, and the Channels API, which allows developers to connect Numerous to new sources of data. Developers can now also create private numbers that only specified users can access.

Numerous is the best way to follow life's most important numbers. Everything from fitness and health—HealthKit, Apple Watch, Fitbit, Strava, Misfit—to connected devices—such as a Nest thermostat or a Tesla—to social networks—like Twitter, Facebook Pages, or Instagram—or events—such as movies, TV shows, or sports—to personal finance—mortgage rates, stocks, exchange rates—or even the environment. Even if it’s just a number you want to “check in on”, Numerous has a solution.
