The Bellevue Collection announces today that the first Washington store in Whole Foods Market’s streamlined 365 by Whole Foods Market format will open in the new South Commons section of Bellevue Square (former site of JCPenney). Slated to open in the second half of 2016, the new store concept will offer a convenient, value-oriented shopping experience featuring a curated mix of products that adhere to Whole Foods Market’s industry-leading quality standards.

“The Whole Foods Market brand has helped lead the shift in consciousness toward fresh, healthy foods by offering the highest quality, broadest selection, and best customer service,” says Kemper Freeman, Chairman and CEO, Kemper Development Company. “We are thrilled to be the location of choice for the first 365 by Whole Foods Market in Washington and we know it will be a highly anticipated addition for shoppers, residents and office workers within The Bellevue Collection and the surrounding community. Our earliest roots of Bellevue Square’s history featured a very successful grocery component and we are excited to once again have this opportunity for our guests.”

According to company officials, 365 by Whole Foods Market leverages Whole Foods Market’s long history of retail innovation and extends the grocer’s reach in the marketplace to even more consumers who want top quality groceries at value prices.

“We are really excited about the progress we have made with securing real estate in markets where there is high demand for both quality food and value in a convenient format,” said Jeff Turnas, president of 365 by Whole Foods Market. “Bellevue Square, part of The Bellevue Collection in Bellevue, Washington is an ideal community to bring a fresh new shopping experience that draws from Whole Foods Market stores’ best innovations and gives them a new expression both in terms of the look and feel of the store and product assortment.”
