Mirum expands market-leading mobile app publishing capabilities on newly launched Adobe Digital Publishing Solution

Collaborating with UNC Kenan-Flagler School of Business, Mirum used Adobe Digital Publishing Solution to create a modern app viewing experience for their digital-savvy audience segments.

Aimed at engaging a generation of students immersed in digital, global agency Mirum today announced the launch of a new mobile platform for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s prestigious Kenan-Flagler Business School. Leveraging the all-new Adobe Digital Publishing Solution (DPS), the mobile platform showcases Mirum’s deep industry experience in DPS and its market-leading technology and design capabilities.

“By leveraging the power and ease of this new version of DPS, UNC is elevating their mobile app portfolio,” says Lorenzo Vallone, SVP, Chief Technology Officer of Mirum Miami. “The app is designed to streamline important information and course content for prospective and current students, providing a more robust resource and valuable brand experience.”

The mobile app serves as a showcase for UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School’s Leadership Development program, as well as a course app for students enrolled in the full-time MBA leadership capstone class. The app will be integrated with the Canvas open-source learning management system (LMS) to provide students with key content and ongoing course announcements, serving to broaden and enrich their learning experience.

“For the past three years, we’ve focused intensely on growing our digital presence across a number of platforms, from mobile web to apps to digital programmatic advertising content to social media,” says Michael Schinelli, CMO of UNC Kenan-Flagler. Schinelli added, “What I liked about this new platform right away is that it’s very image-centric. Images are a dominant element in communications today, particularly with millennials and younger audiences. Adobe Digital Publishing Solution is well-positioned to help us use design and creativity to differentiate our brand and our offerings.”

The app builds on the range of enhanced features from Adobe, including the ability for professionals without a programming background to create and modify an app within DPS. Content owners are able to make updates, add new content, and tailor the look and feel without using any coding. The app is currently available for iPad in the Apple App store, with plans to make it available on iPhone and Android in future versions.

“Mirum was one of the first agencies in the world creating content in DPS on a global basis for corporate customers,” states Nick Bogaty, Senior Director, Head of Digital Publishing at Adobe. “Collaborating with UNC Kenan-Flagler School of Business, Mirum used Adobe Digital Publishing Solution to create a modern app viewing experience for their digital-savvy audience segments. Creating content with the Creative Cloud and measuring the marketing performance through the Marketing Cloud as a unified platform defines Mirum and UNC as industry leaders in technology today. We look forward to the app experiences Mirum will create for brands, corporations and educational institutions with DPS 2015.”

Adobe Digital Publishing Solution brings the next generation of mobile app publishing to the forefront, enabling mobile app development for phones and tablets without development, and also supporting the streamlined and cost-effective production and distribution of top tier content.
