Tour School Prepares Students for a Career in Live Entertainment with STEADI Curriculum

Today, Tour School LLC announced the launch of their touring school in Las Vegas, Nevada. The course will be administered by Ed Wannebo, noted production manager (Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Hall and Oates), Richard Cadena, Entertainment Technician Certification Program (ETCP) ETCP Certified Electrician and noted author and Roy Bickel, ETCP Certified Rigger.

The Stage Technician Education and Development Intensive (STEADI) is an entry-level, intensive hands-on education in live event production, grounded in safety and providing the first steps for a successful and sustainable career. The course provides a broad basic knowledge of standards, best practices, and common skills used every day in live event production with an emphasis on safety, filling the gaps that are not always taught in other programs. The program teaches basic electrics, situational awareness in the rigging environment, hands-on skills and most importantly, safety training—such as why and when you need to wear personal protective equipment (PPE). The STEADI Course is for those seeking work and employers who need well-trained individuals. STEADI promotes industry safety through guided hands-on instruction taught by industry experts currently working in Live Event Production. The program utilizes cutting edge equipment as well as industry-related facilities giving participants direct on-the-job-training and knowledge.

This training is one of a kind and is taught over a 4-day, 40 hour program, intended to provide the on the job training a participant needs to start working in the industry right away. The courses will be conducted at Solotech US, 7465 Dean Martin Blvd. in Las Vegas, NV. Solotech was awarded sound company of the year in 2013 and earned the prestigious and coveted 2013 Parnelli Award in the category "Sound Company of the Year" for Michael Buble's To be Loved Tour. Receiving a Parnelli Award is the most prestigious honor in the Live Event Industry. The award recognizes pioneering, influential professionals and their contributions, honoring both individuals and companies
