Michael Hale to Be Honored at the 17th Annual AACUC Conference
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) August 05, 2015 -- The African-American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC), announced earlier this year that Michael Hale was the 2015 recipient of the AACUC’s Pete Crear Lifetime Achievement Award. Hale is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, over Cards, Collections and Fraud Mitigation at Arizona Federal Credit Union.
A veteran and a Bronze Star recipient from the U.S. Army, Hale has been devoted to the credit union movement since 1975. Hale’s leadership skills and hard work lead to the legal formation of the African-American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC) in 1999. He previously served as the President and CEO of Andrews Federal Credit Union for over 12 years. Highlighting some of Mr. Hales previous accomplishments include being the Founding Chairman of the Board of Directors of the African-American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC), service on the National Federation of Community Development Credit Union's Capitalization Program Committee, the National Association of Federal Credit Unions Regulatory Affairs Committee, and the Arizona Credit Union League Board of Directors. He was also a member of the Filene Research Institute Council, Board Member of the Credit Union Executives Society and Vice Chairman for the Board of Directors of PSCU Financial Services.
With a powerful past and a stellar present, Mr. Hale is definitely a perfect choice to be chosen as this year’s honoree. When speaking with Mr. Crear about Hale, he mentioned "I am so proud that AACUC is honoring Michael with this Award. His history, mission and contributions have always been focused on the greater good. Thank you Michael for blazing a path for all of us."
Master of Ceremony for the awards dinner will be Mr. Hubert H. Hoosman, Jr. Former President and CEO of Vantage Credit Union in St. Louis, Missouri. Currently Mr. Hoosman is an entrepreneur and partner at Haywood Hoosman Realty. Also in attendance will be Pete Crear and other past recipients. This year’s awards dinner is sponsored by CUNA Mutual Group.
