Plover, WI (PRWEB) August 04, 2015 -- Jefferson will present “How Regulations Impact Our Industry” to an audience comprised of executives interested in promoting workforce diversity and in promoting women to executive and driver positions.

Prior to her new appointment in February, Jefferson most recently served as Counselor to the Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) in the immediate Office of the Secretary. She also has served in other positions, including Deputy Assistant Secretary for Administration for DOT, Associate Administrator for Administration for the FMCSA at DOT and she has worked with the Federal Aviation Administration, Air Traffic Control Service, and NASA.
“There is a lot of excitement around the conference and in the mission of our organization. We are seeing attendee registrations ramping up and our expo is nearly sold out,” said Ellen Voie, president and CEO of Women In Trucking. “Companies like Freightliner (Daimler), a member and a sponsor of the conference, are bringing their entire executive team. That’s how important the content and networking value of this conference is to them as a company.”
A dynamic mix of speakers, such as Jennifer Jo Cobb, NASCAR driver, writer and television sport analyst, and Lee Kaskow, senior analyst at Bloomberg Research, will present educational content on professional development and transportation insights. More than 20 conference sessions and interactive roundtable discussions will highlight relevant content and perspectives from major shippers, logistics service providers, and carriers of all modes. A comprehensive expo will feature more than 50 providers of services in transportation, logistics, supply chain management, driver training, financial services, and human resource management. And, Sirius XM radio personality Dave Nemo of The Dave Nemo Show on Road Dog Channel 146 will broadcast via live remote.
