Petco Extends Relationship with APT to Enhance Customer-Centric Analytics
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) August 04, 2015 -- Applied Predictive Technologies (APT) announced today that Petco, a leading pet specialty retailer with more than 1,400 stores, has extended its relationship with APT and will continue to license APT’s Test & Learn® for Sites software. Petco, a valued APT client for over 10 years, is also licensing APT’s Market Basket Analyzer, Test & Learn® for Customers, and Category Management Insights.
Petco joins other leading brands – including CVS, Starbucks, and T-Mobile – in leveraging APT’s software suite to make evidence-based decisions. Retailers license APT’s Test & Learn® software to reduce the risk inherent in introducing new ideas, while identifying opportunities to improve those ideas before rolling them out broadly. As retailers become increasingly targeted in their customer interactions, more retailers are turning to Test & Learn® for Customers to help them rapidly determine the incremental impact of each action on key customer metrics, while also enabling them to isolate which customers should receive each communication or offer.
With APT’s Market Basket Analyzer and Category Management Insights software, Petco merchants and analysts can directly leverage granular basket- and customer-level data to inform daily decisions on promotional effectiveness, product strategy, and more. These software applications provide one version of the truth throughout the organization and enable retailers, like Petco, to improve their customers’ experience and overall profitability.
“Retailers are increasingly operating in an omnichannel world,” said Jonathan Marek, Senior Vice President at APT. “In this environment, using data to understand how customers behave across purchase channels is becoming a strategic imperative. Succeeding as a retailer today requires constant innovation through experimentation. We are pleased that Petco has decided to expand their relationship with APT to include this additional functionality. We look forward to continuing to help Petco achieve both its company and customer-facing goals.”
