The Leaven provides after-school tutoring and community services to residents of disadvantaged neighborhoods. They also provide health and wellness programs, financial literacy classes for families, and neighborhood revitalization programs for communities.

Mark Lillis, the director of The Leaven, recently told ASAP Systems that his organization needed an inventory management system because donors and other partners wanted to know how their donations were being spent. Donors requested inventory counts approximately four times per week which caused The Leaven to spend five hours weekly on inventory.

After performing physical inventory checks by hand for eight years, The Leaven began to look into inventory management software for their needs. They chose BarCloud after evaluating numerous vendors, primarily for its ease of use.

After implementing BarCloud, routine physical inventory counts became practical. The Leaven could now focus on their students, which translated to student reading skills improving by 88 percent and classroom participation by 69 percent.
