New Event Venue to Open in Historic Eno Mill
HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. (PRWEB) August 07, 2015 -- A new venue catering to corporate events, weddings and other events will open soon in Hillsborough, N.C., in the historic Eno River Mill campus. The 10,000 square foot space, former site of a fabric warehouse, is set to open its doors in December 2015.
The venue, named The Cloth Mill, is the project of Nicole Clayton, local small business owner of On the Rocks Bartending, with 14 years of experience in the hospitality and event industry. She, along with her husband and business partner, Jason Clayton, are excited to be able to offer this space for large meetings, events and weddings. Clayton hopes that the venue’s historic setting and upscale urban feel will make it ideal for a variety of clients. “We really see a need for this type of large venue in central North Carolina,” Clayton says, “and we want to make it an incredible place to throw your event.”
Clayton, a native of New York, wants to bring the outstanding service in hospitality industry she grew up with to this new venture, as well as her focus on personal attention to every client she deals with in her bartending business, On the Rocks Bartending. Clayton says, “I see the difference a personal relationship makes to my bartending clients and want to continue to provide that personalized touch with The Cloth Mill.”
The Cloth Mill is undergoing extensive renovations by developer Hedgehog Holdings, LLC prior to its opening to restore the urban industrial look that the building had in its original use, including restoring windows that had been bricked over. When finished, the space will feature exposed brick walls, the original wood beams and columns and a large courtyard. The Cloth Mill will be able to accommodate events with up to 700 seated or 1500 standing guests, and will provide ample on-site parking.
Clayton is pleased with the Hillsborough setting, and has begun to partner up with local businesses, such as Mystery Brewing, her neighbor at the Eno River Mill. Mystery Brewing has been confirmed as a sponsor partner for The Cloth Mill’s inaugural event in December.
Clayton also plans to hold a large New Year’s Eve bash shortly after the opening in December for the Hillsborough, Chapel Hill, Durham, and surrounding area communities.
