Global Need for Internet Performance Drives 26 Successive Quarters of Revenue Growth

Dyn, the worldwide leader in Internet Performance, today announced that the second quarter of 2015 marked the most successful sales quarter in the company’s 14-year history. The quarter was highlighted by a record level of monthly recurring revenue in June 2015. This now makes 26 successive quarters of revenue growth for Dyn since 2009. The quarter also saw significant double-digit year-over-year revenue growth in Dyn’s key international markets.

Revenue Growth And Global Opportunities
Many companies, regardless of size, view international markets as enormous growth opportunities, not just because they are untapped markets, but because customers no longer live within borders. For example, even though 80 percent of the top 10 global Internet properties have U.S. headquarters, 81 percent of their users reside outside the U.S. One particularly important market is Asia Pacific (APAC), home to 40 percent of global Internet users worldwide; China is home to 20 percent of the global Internet population. By the close of 2015’s second quarter, Dyn reached important revenue benchmarks in these key regions.

Year-over-year revenue growth in Dyn’s APAC region was 58 percent by the close of Q2, 2015. Dyn’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region saw year-over-year revenues increase by 33 percent in the same time period.

Customer And Product Growth
The global need for Internet Performance continues to increase, as do Dyn’s customers around the world. New customer growth in the quarter was highlighted by HotelPlanner, Pinterest, Mixpanel, Crowdynews and Qualtrics.

Crowdynews, the platform that gathers and filters social content in real-time for news publishers and content affiliates worldwide, partnered with Dyn to improve overall Internet Performance with Dyn’s Traffic Management solutions.

Dyn Internet Alerts is a new product that launched this past quarter as a key component of Dyn’s Internet Intelligence platform. Dyn Internet Alerts gives companies highly accurate, real-time monitoring from hundreds of cloud and service providers across all major markets around the world that enables businesses to create better Internet connectivity and business continuity.

Growing Global Footprint And Key Hires
In the second quarter of 2015, Dyn continued to expand globally. The company opened a new office in Singapore to bolster its Internet Performance services in APAC. Since the region is one of the Internet’s fastest growing but most volatile markets, infrastructure and performance varies widely across APAC. Now, with offices and staff in place in both Sydney and Singapore, Dyn’s investment in the region will be extremely valuable for companies serving customers in the area.

Dyn also hired Chris Hill, Senior Vice President of Talent, in the quarter. Hill will play an essential role in helping Dyn support and grow its global employee base. Hill comes to Dyn from Egenera, where he served as VP of Human Resources. Prior to that, Hill was RSA’s Director of Human Resources.
