In partnership with Kimbia, the leader in crowdfunding events and with participation from 92nd Street Y, one of the original founding organizations of #GivingTuesday, Houston Grand Opera’s development officer, Emily Schreiber, will discuss how the organization joined the worldwide movement to help generate more visibility, promote a sense of urgency and lower promotion costs for its inaugural crowdfunding program titled #AllinforHGO.
Attendees will learn how HGO leveraged Kimbia’s robust and innovative platform and developed a complete campaign strategy with the giving day expert’s proven practices. The performing arts organization surpassed its first-year goals, such as a total average online gift amount of $317, over two-and-a-half times the industry average for Performing Arts organizations, and recruited 56 percent new donors from their email campaign.
