We anticipated it would be a welcome addition to the tailgating experience, but the feedback was beyond our expectations. Every soccer fan that stepped into the TGSM trailer was impressed.

Tailgating Sports Marketing, LLC debuted their cutting-edge digital interactive restroom trailers at FedEx Field on July 28, 2015. The unique experiential sports marketing portable restrooms were on site for the FC Barcelona vs. Chelsea F.C. matchup, a premier soccer game held as part of the 2015 International Champions Cup. Soccer fans in the tailgating area had access to a Tailgating Sports Marketing restroom trailer, offering luxury restroom facilities and seventeen interactive multi-media screens including interactive gaming and live event satellite coverage. The event was the first in a series of appearances being made by the Tailgating Sports Marketing trailers; the units will also be onsite at FedEx Field for the 2015 NFL football season. FedEx Field, in partnership with Tailgating Sports Marketing LLC, is the first in the country creating the ultimate fan experience for tailgating.

Some of the most memorable comments we heard from users were, ‘All you’re missing is a stripper and a pole in the men’s side,’ and ‘Yo, this is going on snapchat right now.’ On a more serious note, it was very well received and we are really looking forward to the kick off event at FedEx Field on August 20th with the multiple upgrades to the new RedZone tailgating lot, enhancing the ultimate tailgating Fan Experience.”

Over 78,000 fans attended the July 28, 2015 soccer game at FedEx Field. The game featured two of soccer’s most well known teams, Chelsea FC and FC Barcelona. It was an entertaining and intense match, ending in a win for Chelsea. Prior to the game, tailgating fans were excited and amazed as they stepped into the Tailgating Sports Marketing trailer in one of the open lots reserved for tailgating. Fans gathered around the trailer to play soccer, barbeque, drink before the game, and listen to the music, as well as use the restroom trailer for the first time.

Jo’V King, Social Media Manager for Tailgating Sports Marketing, attended the event to gather fan feedback. “Everyone loved the trailer and the fact that they could enjoy such a high quality experience at a game,” he says. “They all wanted to make sure we would be there for the next event—it was the question everyone was asking when they stepped out.”

The Tailgating Sports Marketing trailer will be back at FedEx Field on August 20, 2015 when the Washington Redskins face the Detroit Lions. Football fans tailgating in the RedZone will have access to the luxury restroom facilities, complete with men’s Aim & Shoot urinal games, extensive media screens, and other mobile devices. They will also have access to WiFi, a Fan-Foto Selfie Kiosk, and a mobile device trivia game as part of the trailer’s interactive experience.
