TiEcon Florida Announces Entrepreneurship Conference Lineup
TAMPA, FL (PRWEB) August 07, 2015 -- TiE Tampa Bay, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship, has announced event details and an initial speaker lineup for TiEcon Florida 2015. The conference, including networking events, entertainment, and a startup pitch contest, will celebrate the group’s third year of providing support and inspiration to the entrepreneurial community in Tampa Bay and across Florida.
The conference will be held on October 3rd, 2015 at downtown Tampa’s waterfront Westin Harbour Island Hotel. Participants can register at http://www.TiEconFL.com.
“It’s very different from any other entrepreneurship conference out there,” said TiE Tampa Bay Chairman Kunal Jain. “All of our speakers at TiEconFL are very approachable – they’re here because they want to help other entrepreneurs. It’s all about paying it forward.”
This year’s scheduled speakers are a broad cross-section of successful entrepreneurs and investors, including:

TiE Tampa Bay is one chapter of a robust international organization. TiE, with its origins in Silicon Valley, has 61 chapters in 18 countries as far away as Singapore. The Tampa Bay chapter has leveraged that larger network to attract accomplished guests from across the country, and the world.
TiE Tampa Bay, like many TiE chapters, has an affiliated angel investment arm – the TiE Tampa Angel Forum. “At TieCon Florida, we will continue our tradition of hosting an exciting startup pitch contest to identify more promising startups,” said Irv Cohen, Chair of TiE Tampa Angel Forum. The group has previously invested Gainesville’s Feathr, Windermere-based FlexReceipts, and Tampa Bay ventures PikMyKid, Florida Funders, and Check I’m Here.
“Our goal is to create a vibrant startup ecosystem in Tampa Bay,” said Jain. “We want to see the entire region succeed, and take the time to pause and celebrate every success story.”
