Westat has announced the appointment of Senior Fellows in Statistics who are recognized leaders in their field. The Fellows advise research projects and contribute to national and international advances in applied statistics. A committee of the Senior Fellows is chaired by Graham Kalton and J. Michael Brick and includes experts in complex survey design, address-based sampling, small area estimation, big data, and more.
Outside of Westat, Senior Statistical Fellows serve on various association and advisory committees, are faculty for the Joint Program in Survey Methodology at the University of Maryland, and are elected leaders in professional organizations. Currently, David Morganstein is the President of the American Statistical Association, and Roger Tourangeau is the President-Elect of the American Association of Public Opinion Research.
