Cloud4Wi Named as One of the “2015 Most Disruptive Technologies” by the Telecom Council
San Francisco (PRWEB) August 11, 2015 -- Cloud4Wi, creator of world’s first open Guest Wi-Fi engagement platform, today announced its selection as nominee for a 2015 SPIFFY Award as “the most game-changing startup…likely to disrupt markets and change the way people do things.”
The SPIFFY awards will be presented by the Telecom Council of Silicon Valley on Sept. 30 at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, CA. Nominees are selected by the Telecom Council’s Service Provider Forum (SPIF) from among over 200 early-stage companies representing a broad range of telecom products and services who presented during Telecom Council meetings between June 2014 and May 2015.
“Cloud4Wi is honored to be nominated for this prestigious award,” said Andrea Calcagno, Cloud4Wi CEO. “This is important recognition from major telecom players who recognize industry game-changers and disrupters. That’s what we strive to be.”
Cloud4Wi is an engagement and analytics engine for Guest Wi-Fi that allows merchants and other businesses to better understand and interact with customers. It is a key platform for companies seeking to link digital customers with brick-and-mortar shopping experiences. The platform turns something many companies offer customers for free into a valuable marketing asset and analytic tool.
By simply being nominated for a SPIFFY, startups are recognized as the most elite in the industry with ideas, relevance, and traction that appeal most to global service providers. Award categories include innovation, creativity, emergent entrepreneurship and competitive excellence.
Each company invited to present at a Telecom Council meeting has been identified as promising telecom company. Among these, some young companies stand out for their innovation, market opportunity, or quantifiable interest among the Council’s 30+ global Service Providers including AT&T, BT, DoCoMo, France Telecom/Orange, Swisscom, Verizon, Vodafone and many other fixed and wireless carriers from Europe, Asia, and North and South America listed on the Telecom Council website.
“The 2015 SPIFFY Awards mark the most competitive group of entrants to date,” said Liz Kerton, President of the Telecom Council of Silicon Valley. “SPIFFY nominees are chosen for their innovative solutions, approach to the market, and strong leadership. Winners are in an elite group that will secure attention from global service providers for years to come.”
Separately, Cloud4Wi announced July 22 that it has been recognized as one of 2015’s hottest emerging technology vendors by CRN, the top news source for solution providers and the IT channel. The annual Emerging Vendors List identifies up-and-coming technology vendors that have introduced innovative new products, creating opportunities for channel partners in North America to create high-margin, cutting-edge solutions for their customers.
