Lewis-Manning Hospice stands out from the crowd with new banners
(PRWEB UK) 10 August 2015 -- Perched above the stunning waters of Poole Harbour, Lewis-Manning Hospice is a tranquil calm haven amidst the chaos of every-day life for those suffering from cancer, Parkinson’s disease, and other life-limiting illnesses.
Providing free, specialist palliative nursing care to around 700 local people every year, Lewis-Manning Hospice first opened its doors to patients in 1992. Since that time, the hospice has expanded its services and in 2012 a new state-of-the-art building was opened with 15 en-suite bedrooms able to offer respite support, rehabilitation and eventually 24 hour end-of-life care. The bedrooms are opening on a phased basis as funds allow.
The hospice, which receives only 20 per cent of their funding from its contract with NHS Dorset CCG, needs to raise an additional £65,000 a month through donations, legacies, the hospice shops, and events, in order to keep providing their fantastic services to the people of East Dorset, at no cost.
To help aid fundraising, and awareness, local Exhibition Stand-specialists, Quadrant2Design, have donated five new banners to the hospice.
Featuring the charity’s brand new logo, the banners depict everyday life at the hospice, and features photos of those closely connected with the organisation, including patients, the hospice’s patron, Debra Stephenson, and the two young daughters of former patient, Nikki Hastings, who continued to fundraise for the charity after their mother’s passing in 2014.
The five banners, which are portable and compact, will be used at a variety of events across the county, including garden parties, often hosted by friends and family of the hospice, and corporate events.
