The AABIS contract provides capacity building support to the Afghan Ministry of Interior Biometrics Center with specialized biometrics training, systems administration of complex biometrics Information Technology (IT) systems, subsystems and peripherals, upgrades and sustainment to proprietary software that these systems utilize. The program involves extensive coordination and cooperation with the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan (NTM-A)/Combined Security Transition Command - Afghanistan (CSTC-A) and Afghan Ministries, and is focused on transitioning a long-term enduring capability that is fully resourced by the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (GIRoA). The I3 Team is composed of highly-dedicated U.S. and Afghan operations, IT, and forensic science experts.
