Respected Expert on Noncognitive Assessment has Joined ProExam’s Center For Innovative Assessments

We are pleased to welcome Jeremy to ProExam’s Center for Innovative Assessments. His expertise in the field of noncognitive assessments in both the professional and academic markets helps expand our capabilities in these increasingly important domains.

Professional Examination Service, the most experienced organization in professional licensure and certification services, today announced that Jeremy Burrus, Ph.D., has joined the organization as principal research scientist working in the Center for Innovative Assessments, where he reunites with colleague Richard D. Roberts, Ph.D., the Center’s vice president and chief scientist.

His expertise in the field of noncognitive assessments in both the professional and academic markets helps expand our capabilities in these increasingly important domains,” said Robert S. “I am thrilled that Jeremy will be joining the Center. We worked closely together while at the Educational Testing Service (ETS) building numerous products and conducting research for clients around the globe,” said Roberts.

In addition to working five years at ETS as a research scientist in the Center for Academic and Workforce Readiness and Success, Burrus spent the past year at ACT, where he was a principal research scientist in the Career Transitions Research Department. He has published numerous articles and won several awards, including a Presidential Award from ETS in 2011.

“Working with Rich and the experienced ProExam team offers a wonderful opportunity for me to apply my experience in noncognitive assessment to develop world-class products and services for ProExam’s clients,” said Burrus.

In addition to his research in the field of workforce readiness, Burrus has conducted research on Cross-Cultural Competence, Cognitive Biases and K-12 Student and Teacher Noncognitive Skills.

Burrus earned his doctor of philosophy in social psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne. He was also a post-doctoral research scholar at Columbia University Business School.
