Cypress Grove Chevre Brings Home Six Ribbons from the American Cheese Society Competition
ARCATA, CA (PRWEB) August 12, 2015 -- Humboldt County, California-based Cypress Grove Chevre brought home six awards from the 32nd Annual American Cheese Society (ACS) competition held in Providence, Rhode Island.
The annual ACS conference is the largest cheese conference and most prestigious cheese competition in North and South America. In all, 19 teams of judges (technical and aesthetic) were required to evaluate and score 1,779 cheeses entered by over 260 producers.
Cypress Grove Chevre’s six awards from the 2015 ACS Competition:
Humboldt Fog - 1st Place: American Originals, Original Recipe, Open Category (Goat’s Milk)
PsycheDillic - 1st Place: Fresh Goat Cheese, Flavor Added (100% Goat Cheese)
Truffle Tremor Mini - 2nd Place: Soft-Ripened, Flavor Added (All Milks)
Fromage Blanc - 2nd Place: Fresh Unripened Cheeses (Goat’s Milk)
Humboldt Fog Mini - 2nd Place: Soft-Ripened Cheeses (Goat’s Milk)
Truffle Tremor Original - 3rd Place: Soft-Ripened, Flavor Added (All Milks)
