Pearl Street Brewery’s “Tour de Pearl” Wraps up with “End of Tour” Party, September 5, 2015 -- Special Musical Guest The 4onthefloor
La Crosse, WI (PRWEB) August 12, 2015 -- La Crosse, Wisconsin’s, Pearl Street Brewery (http://www.pearlstreetbrewery.com) will celebrate another successful season of the Tour de Pearl, its popular summer beer and bicycling promotion, with the End of Tour Party on September 5, 2015, at Pearl Street Brewery (1401 St. Andrew Street), featuring special musical guest The 4onthefloor. The End of Tour Party helps to kick off the 5th Annual La Crosse Area Labor Day Weekend Bicycle Festival (http://www.explorelacrosse.com/bikefest), four days of road cycling, mountain biking, and guided bicycle tours in and around the City of La Crosse.
In 2011, Pearl Street Brewery created Tour de Pearl as a way to connect with the growing number of bicycle enthusiasts who are also fans of the brewery. Registrants bike to bars and restaurants listed as official Stages of the Tour de Pearl, get their official Tour Cards stamped, and work toward an entry for a chance to win a locally designed and manufactured Wyatt Bicycle, a $1000 value. The 2015 Tour consists of 42 total stages--21 in the La Crosse, WI, area, and 21 in the Madison, WI, area. Registrants have the option of focusing on either city, or cross-touring between La Crosse and Madison on a single Tour Card.
650 participants have registered so far. With nearly five full weeks to go before the End of Tour Party, there’s still plenty of time to register and get those Tour Cards filled. Registration fee of $20 includes a race t-shirt, a race kit including the Tour Card and special offers and discounts from the stages and sponsors. It also includes FREE entry into the End of Tour Party ($5 for non-registrants).
Crowding this year with even more, Pearl Street Brewery has partnered up with the La Crosse Area Labor Day Weekend Bicycle Festival for its End of Tour Party. Tour De Pearl participants from Madison and La Crosse are invited to La Crosse to celebrate bicycling in the Driftless Region with the 5th Annual La Crosse Area Bicycle Festival. This free event features four days of on- and off-road cycling, including road rides ranging from 30 - 100 miles. Other activities include mountain biking, urban rides, BMX racing, guided historical tours, birding tours, homemade ice cream rides, coffee & muffin rides, gravel rides, and paddle & pedal rides. All rides, both self-supported and guided, will leave from Cameron Park in Downtown La Crosse, WI.
