Drs. Allen Huang and Jeffrey Wang Bring Advanced iTero™ Technology to Las Vegas, NV Practices for Improved Dental Impressions
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) August 11, 2015 -- Dr. Allen Huang and Dr. Jeffrey Wang are pleased to announce the use of iTero™ digital technology for implant dentistry in Las Vegas, NV. The putty typically utilized to create a mold of a patient’s oral cavity cannot replicate the accuracy of the high definition images, which the doctors are now able to produce. These allow them to design dental implants that fit precisely for the most comfortable and natural replacement experience.
The health of the jaw depends on the occurrence of stimulation provided by tooth roots, occurring when a person chews. If a tooth is lost, the bone beneath the empty socket begins to deteriorate. Dental implants are important for oral health because the post of the implant functions as that of a natural tooth root, providing the stimulation needed to maintain healthy bone density. The shape and size of the new crown is critical to the success of the replacement tooth. Without the appropriate fit, a misaligned bite may occur, causing damage to surrounding teeth.
Implant dentistry in Las Vegas, NV, generally involves the use putty and trays to create a mold of the area for accurate placement. The patient holds the tray full of putty in the mouth until the shape is set and a rendering can be created from the results. The process causes gagging and discomfort for many individuals, and may have to be repeated multiple times to get a viable impression.
The iTero™ system includes a small scanner that Drs. Huang and Wang utilize to capture digital images of the structures in the mouth. These are immediately sent to a computer, where software renders highly detailed representations of the teeth, displaying soft tissue of the oral cavity in 3D on the screen. The dimensions and graphic details provide the foundation for dental implants that may be more successful than the original tooth. Anyone in Las Vegas, NV who wants to experience the latest in implant dentistry can find more information on the doctors’ website, http://www.sdsdental.com, or by calling (702) 727-4210.
