Chicago-based firm serving middle market companies expands with leadership additions.

Avenue, a brand strategy and activation firm specializing in helping mid-market companies capitalize on moments of change, announced today the addition of four key team members.

Joining Avenue as senior strategist is Julie Murray, who brings her deep expertise in market strategy. Murray served most recently as director at strategic branding firm Landor Associates, and VP of market strategy at Eduvantis, a higher education consultancy. Her extensive brand management experience, coupled with a progressive marketing philosophy, was developed working with diverse clients that include Dow Chemical, Hewlett-Packard, HSBC, MassMutual, and the Wharton School of Business.

“Julie is a hybrid, like we are,” said Bob Domenz, founder and CEO at Avenue. “She’s both a strategic and a creative thinker, which is exactly what we need to deliver on our promise of not only being able to align business and brand strategies for growth, but also activate them and communicate them in unusually innovative, engaging ways.”

Domenz said the firm also is pleased to welcome its first Director of Brand Content, Chuck Kent, who comes to Avenue with B2B and B2C experience developed at his own agency, as well as branding and integrated marketing expertise acquired during his time at BBDO in both Chicago and New York City.

Avenue also has hired Tina Campbell as marketing director, and Rob German, the new digital project manager. Campbell is the former marketing director at Agati, and is an experienced digital and inbound marketer with strong SEO, SEM and analytics skills that support her exceptional social media strategies. German is a certified project management professional with previous experience at AT&T, MasterCard and Content Direct. He worked most recently at Highland Solutions in SaaS and Agile development.
