Tucson, AZ (PRWEB) August 24, 2015 -- The Lantern Fest has announced the cancellation of their Tucson event due to a change with the fire marshall’s recommendation. Event organizers are activity working with a new venue to secure a new date for festival later this season.
“Safety is our number one priority,” said Lantern Fest event director Preston Ward. “Because the event is so unique, we spend time educating the community and its officials about our safety procedures. We will keep working with fire departments in the area so we can still bring this unforgettable event to Tucson.”
The family-friendly festival has brought the spectacle to people all over the country. They have launched more than 30,000 lanterns this year alone, without a single incident of ground fires. The company obeys all rules and regulations of local fire departments. Event organizers have also implemented extra procedures beyond that which is required by officials.
Those who purchased tickets can expect a full refund within two weeks. Interested parties are encouraged to go to http://www.thelanternfest.com/locations to check out other stops on the Lantern Fest Fall Tour.
About the Lantern Fest
Historically Chinese Lanterns were used to symbolize good fortune, request favorable weather, or to celebrate the life of a loved one. But in 2014, The Lantern Fest transformed this ancient tradition into a family-friendly festival. Thousands of participants attend this unique event to remember a loved one, turn over a new leaf or to watch their hopes and dreams float into the night sky. There is food, music, s’mores, children’s entertainment and, when the sun goes down, lanterns will light the sky in one spectacular release.
