Massive Waterslide Skips Stop in Winston-Salem
Salisbury, NC (PRWEB) August 13, 2015 -- Slide the City recently announced that Winston-Salem will no longer be a stop on their 2015 Tour. Despite working with city officials since January, low registration numbers have forced event organizers to cancel the event. Meanwhile, Slide the City Salisbury is quickly gaining popularity.
“We are disappointed that we will not be making an appearance in Winston-Salem this year,” said Slide the City event director Brad Behle. “It is great that there is another event just a week later and only forty minutes away from the Winston-Salem venue.”
On August 29, Salisbury will get a slippery makeover when adventure seekers speed down Main Street on inner tubes. All Winston-Salem ticket holders are invited to experience the Guinness World Record Breaking Slide in Salisbury; or, if schedules do not allow the trip, they will be refunded.
“Although Winston-Salem is not in the cards for us this season, it is fortuitous that another Slide the City event is happening so close to the area,” said Slide the City co-founder, John Malfatto. “We hope that Winston-Salem participants feel welcome at the Salisbury event; the more the merrier!”
This family-friendly water party has visited more than states and made several international appearances this summer. Event organizers are expecting thousands of sliders to slip down their massive three-lane slide. Participants can purchase a Single, Triple or Super Slider Pass for Slide the City Salisbury and are encouraged to sign up before August 28 to take advantage of the current rate. Pricing starts at $21.
