Ethernet Ecosystem for businesses recognized for state-of-the-art capabilities

TelePacific continues to gain recognition from the MEF for its advanced communications solutions for businesses. After rigorous testing, its private networking solutions delivered over TelePacific’s own network – Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS) and Ethernet Private Line (EPL) services – have both earned MEF CE 2.0 services certification. These two advanced Ethernet service delivery solutions expand Ethernet point-to-point and multipoint connectivity options for businesses with multiple locations and let them confidently adopt comprehensive solutions to their rapidly evolving communications needs.

This industry-standard recognition comes after demanding and extensive testing of both TelePacific’s VPLS and EPL offerings as well as and TelePacific’s ability to deliver and support these leading-edge solutions. Ethernet is increasingly becoming the preferred way for businesses, particularly those with more than one office, to provision and maintain both voice and data communications because of its security, simplicity, bandwidth and cost-effectiveness.

“TelePacific made a conscious decision to broaden our traditional telecom expertise and fully embrace what we see as the wider Ethernet Ecosystem,” says Anthony Thakur, Vice President of Network Engineering, Wholesales Sales and Client Services.

“MEF CE 2.0 certification sets the bar for carriers who want to provide advanced Ethernet to domestic and international retail and wholesale customers. We’re proud to be in the vanguard of carriers delivering MEF CE 2.0 certified EPL and VPLS services that perform up to those exacting standards.”

TelePacific’s Ethernet Ecosystem offers its business customers a tremendous range of transport-agnostic, high-bandwidth alternatives to traditional private lines that can be tailored to fit their individual needs, including Ethernet over OneAir Fixed Wireless™, Ethernet over Copper (EoC), and Ethernet over Fiber, among others. This flexibility delivers solutions that can rapidly and cost-effectively adapt to today’s (and tomorrow’s) changing business requirements.

“The MEF congratulates TelePacific for demonstrating excellence in service performance and innovation in the global marketplace,” said Nan Chen, President of the MEF. “CE 2.0 certification is a full testament to TelePacific’s ability to deliver leading-edge solutions that respond to customers’ evolving demands.”

TelePacific plans to expand its participation in the MEF CE 2.0 certification program as it works to test and certify additional services.
