Growing online sign up and event management company SignUpGenius has launched new tools that will help busy parents and educators during the fall back-to-school rush. An upgraded mobile site will assist users who want to manage on-the-go volunteers, and Pro customers can use Sign Up Tabbing, which allows them to navigate multiple sign ups from one page. This month, the sign up service also unveils 85 new professionally designed sign up templates for all users.
“Our site traffic will triple between the beginning of August and end of October with the back-to-school season. We’ve worked for the past few months to add features and focus our efforts on simplifying the busy fall for families,” says CEO Dan Rutledge.
PTAs, teachers, parents and administrators will use the site’s tools to schedule parent-teacher conferences, organize class trips and parties and raise money for school needs. The fall season will also usher in team sports, concession stands, youth group meetings and fall festivals — all of which require organizing resources.
While SignUpGenius caters to a variety of volunteer and event management groups, the company capitalizes on the back-to-school season with focused initiatives. A Back-to-School Boost Giveaway will award one school a $5,000 prize, and users can take advantage of a back-to-school special on its annual Pro subscription.
"I have three girls at three different schools, and keeping up with parent teacher conferences each year has been a bear. This is easy to use, provides a calendar invite option so I can see immediately if I have a conflict, and I don't have to wait on the dreaded sign up sheet that is sent home,” says Jennifer Meyer of Franklin, Tenn.
SignUpGenius simplifies the process of coordinating events and people by providing online sign ups for non-profits, schools, sports, churches, families, colleges, businesses and organizations. By enabling 7 million unique visitors per month to sign up for tasks online, SignUpGenius has done away with the need for paper sign ups, "reply all" emails and phone trees.
