Patti Kelly, director of the Whitcom consolidated regional communications center in Pullman, Washington, will present “Evaluating, Selecting and Purchasing NG9-1-1 Voice and Radio Solutions” during the Association of Public-Safety Communications (APCO) International’s 81st Annual Conference and Expo in Washington, D.C.

APCO 2015 is the premier event for public safety communications officials. The conference offers four days of educational sessions, committee meetings and special events, paired with two full days of exhibits. Kelly’s presentation will take place on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at 2:40 p.m. EST., as part of the “NG9-1-1 and Emerging Technologies” education track.

Kelly was tasked with finding new recording and console systems that would transform Whitcom into a modern, innovative and NG9-1-1 ready emergency communications center. She discovered the right solution for her PSAP with solutions from HigherGround and Avtec. The integration created an efficient and easy-to-use call taking, logging and incident reconstruction experience, allowing dispatchers to easily search recorded interactions, and supervisors to monitor live calls, and quickly fulfill public records requests — all saving valuable time.
