Driver's cannot simply rely on what they are told by the Court staff to be accurate and will need to obtain and interpret Court documents to get the fine reductions they deserve under this beneficial law.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 15, 2015
On June 24, 2015, California Gov. Jerry Brown signed into law a one-time sweeping Traffic Ticket Amnesty for the entire State of California. CheapTrafficAttorneys.com announces the opening of a Los Angeles, CA, Office to assist Driver's in qualifying for the upcoming Traffic Ticket Amnesty.
Beginning October 1, 2015, and expiring March 31, 2017, qualifying driver's may have their past due traffic fines reduced by up to 80% and have their Driver's License status reinstated to valid. Full guidelines for this California Traffic Ticket Amnesty effecting Failure to Appear and Failure to Pay tickets may be found on the Superior Court's website.
Here is how it works:
There are two groups of people who can participate in the Traffic Ticket amnesty program for Failure to Appear and Failure to Pay traffic tickets with California Driver's License Holds and Suspended Driver's License:
1) Persons with unpaid tickets whose fines were originally due to be paid (or had a court date) on or before January 1, 2013, are eligible to have their debt reduced by 50 or 80 percent depending on income AND have their driver's license reinstated.
2) Persons who are currently making payments for unpaid tickets both before and after January 1, 2013 are eligible to have their driver's license reinstated but are NOT eligible for a reduction in the amount they owe on their payment plan(s).
Experienced Traffic Ticket Attorney John J. Pearson of CheapTrafficAttorneys.com cautions Drivers who are told by Court Staff that they do not fit into Category #1 above:
"With older past due tickets, most driver's no longer have a copy of the ticket in their possession and will need to interpret difficult Court records and printouts to determine if they qualify. Driver's cannot simply rely on what they are told by the Court staff to be accurate and will need to obtain and interpret Court documents to get the fine reductions they deserve under this beneficial law."
