“Our new features are a direct result of solving customer problems in creative, innovative ways and we think they are the perfect additions to kick off another year with Picaboo Yearbooks.”

As part of its ongoing mission to revolutionize the modern yearbook, Picaboo Yearbooks has announced new product features heading into the 2015 - 2016 school year. The new features include a redesigned, more user-friendly cloud-based design app and Skipple, a new mobile app for crowdsourcing photos. These new features will provide added functionality and creative options for advisers and students.

“Over the last three years, we’ve seen rapid adoption of the Picaboo Yearbooks platform,” said Kevin McCurdy, CEO of Picaboo Yearbooks. “With that growth, it’s become clear that we are meeting the underserved needs in the marketplace. Building on existing beast-of-breed technology, the new product features provide additional functionality, a broader design selection, and a new tool for generating more photos—all of which further enhance the overall user experience.”

Upon logging in, customers will first see a new user interface, redesigned to be even more user-friendly, as well as accommodate a new background and sticker search interface. Users can quickly search thousands of backgrounds by keyword, color or category and then filter results in ranges from light to dark, simple to detailed, or clean to grungy. Similar to the new background-search function, users are also able to search for stickers via keyword, making the design process a breeze.

Picaboo Yearbooks has also introduced Skipple, a mobile app that allows students to take high-resolution photos with their smartphone and share them with their school community, including the yearbook committee. This new app enables yearbook staffs to capture additional events throughout the school year, while providing a way for every student to submit their favorite memories.

“We are intent on identifying and addressing our customer’s needs,” said McCurdy. “Our new features are a direct result of solving customer problems in creative, innovative ways and we think they are the perfect additions to kick off another year with Picaboo Yearbooks.”
