LexisNexis Brings EagleEye Proofreading Tools to Lexis for Microsoft Office
New York, NY (PRWEB) August 18, 2015 -- LexisNexis® Legal & Professional today announced the addition of new tools and enhancements in Lexis® for Microsoft Office®, the industry-leading legal drafting and review tool. Legal professionals will now be able to apply EagleEye, an intuitive agreement checking solution, directly from Lexis for Microsoft Office as they create their legal documents in Word and Outlook. This new set of tools will enable litigators and transactional attorneys alike to draft documents with greater ease and precision while minimizing the time they spend proofreading their work.
The integration of EagleEye 3.1 into Lexis for Microsoft Office is the result of a new LexisNexis alliance with Microsystems, a software company dedicated to providing document technology solutions to improve document content quality and formatting, mitigate document-related risks and enhance document production efficiency.

EagleEye tools are designed to help legal professionals decrease document turnaround time. The tools, which are directly integrated into the Lexis for Microsoft Office ribbon, help eliminate content discrepancies and incompleteness. The three tools newly available include:
• Terms and Phrases – Allows users to quickly check for inconsistent usage of phrases or defined terms across documents.
• Accuracy – Helps practitioners identify editing mistakes such as missing parenthesis and out-of-order numbering.
• Completeness – Gives users the option to mark an item as incomplete and generates an interactive list of all items for review.

Additionally, this version updated to The Bluebook® 20th Edition so that citations can now be formatted according to the new rules published by Harvard in Summer 2015. Finally, Lexis for Microsoft Office users will also be able to draw from enhanced document citation and Table of Authorities features, including access to Get Cited Documents within Outlook, printable Shepard’s® report batches and more.
