Zip Aviation Raises Awareness for Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health
New York, NY (PRWEB) August 15, 2015 -- Zip Aviation sponsored a Bella Magazine Hamptons event Saturday to raise awareness and donations for the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health (CCLRBH). Zip Aviation provides helicopter tours of New York City and luxury helicopter charters throughout the Northeast. CCLRBH provides state-of-the-art care for cognitive disorders and for the family members of those who suffer from them.
Zip Aviation had representatives raising awareness for the cause at the Bella Magazine event hosted by celebrity restaurateur and TV personality, Lisa Vanderpump. Informational brochures, donation cards, and gifts were given out to nearly 400 Southampton invitees, socialites, business owners, and celebrities who attended.
Among those who attended the event were Bella Magazine founders Courtenay Hall and Daniel Hall, as well as Bravo TV personalities Vanderpump, Ken Todd, Kyle Richards, Mauricio Umansky, Lisa Rinna, Eileen Davidson, Bobby and Jill Zarin, Allyson Shapiro, LuAnn De Lesseps, Aviva Drescher, and Dorinda Medley with boyfriend John Mahdessian. Other celebrity guests included Glee star Jenna Ushkowitz, “Secrets and Wives” stars Jonathan and Susan Doneson, and Dr. Stephen and Gail Greenberg.
The physicians and staff at CCLRBH continuously work towards the development of early diagnosis and the advancement of knowledge concerning treatments of cognitive disorders like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, and Multiple Sclerosis (MS), which could prevent their onset. Patients receive expert diagnosis and treatment in the visually abstract center designed by architect Frank Gehry, which houses a diagnostic center, clinical space, neuroimaging rooms, physicians’ offices, and laboratories devoted to clinical research.
“This cause is near and dear to me personally,” said Zip Aviation Marketing Director Meagan Dooley. “My grandmother suffered from Alzheimer’s for five years before passing away. Early detection is key, and clinical research is necessary for early detection.”
“We spoke to a lot of people, gave out a lot of material, and hope to raise a good amount of money for the Center in August,” said Zip CEO and Chief Pilot, Itai Shoshani. “It is our honor to contribute to such a wonderful cause”.
Zip Aviation provided Vanderpump’s helicopter charter services to the event and sponsored the party for the second year. Last year Zip flew party host Laura Prepon, star of “Orange is the New Black” and “That 70’s show”, to the event.
Those who wish to donate to the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health can contact Zip Aviation in August to book a helicopter tour or charter and mention “Bella Magazine White Party”.
