National Hearing Aid Company Racks Up A Stunning 37% Conversion Rate with Synergy Direct Response's New Direct Mail Strategy

Hearing Planet, a national hearing aid retailer, wanted to boost response and conversion rates by testing new direct response campaigns against their traditional direct mail pieces that were designed by their in-house marketing team. The second goal was to upsell recent buyers of replacement batteries by getting them to purchase a new hearing aid from Hearing Planet.

With extensive experience in hearing aid marketing, Synergy Direct Response developed a letter and buck slip insert that was targeted to 54,000 prospects identified as most likely to respond to the offer. To generate immediate response, the agency recommended including an incentive for early responses: the first 20 customers to book an appointment received a $250 Visa gift card.

The campaign ran from February through April of 2015, and produced immediate results. To date, the campaign has generated 61 appointments with their Hearing Experts, with a conversion rate of over 37%.
