Perrin Conferences’ “Past, Present and Predictions” Product Contamination and Recall Insurance Symposium will provide attendees with essential legal and insurance advice about food contamination and product recalls, and will be taking place at the Andaz Wall Street hotel on October 1, 2015.

This significant symposium will include presentations and discussions by notable leaders in the legal and insurance industry, as well a dynamic “hands-on” case study that will synthesize many of the critical issues discussed during the program. CLE credit will be available.

Critical subjects to be discussed include:

  •     Changes to insurance coverage instigated by the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act of 2011
  •     The growth of “Crisis Management” insurance coverage, including “accidental product contamination,” “malicious product tampering,” and “product recall” coverages
  •     Issues and concerns that arise at all stages of a product contamination insurance claim process
  •     How to properly quantify first party product contamination or recall losses, including in-depth looks at business interruption, product valuation and expenses
  •     The mechanics of evaluating the replacement cost of recall products as well as penalties and fees associated with the recall
  •     How to mitigate losses by developing strategies to minimize recall costs and/or lost gross profits
  •     Identification of third party liability aspects of the claim and potential subrogation targets
