Ivy Marketing Group Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary
Glen Ellyn, IL (PRWEB) August 20, 2015 -- As the founder and president of Ivy Marketing Group, Debra Sheridan was a ladypreneur, years before that term even existed. “For twenty-five years, Debbe has been an amazing role model, demonstrating how women can be successful, well respected, and loved by staff and clients,” said Wendy Foster, account executive for Ivy.
On August 22, 2015, Ivy Marketing Group will celebrate its 25th anniversary. The Glen Ellyn, Illinois-based firm provides marketing and public relations services. Originally, Ivy Marketing served a number of different industries including senior housing and services. In 1997 Sheridan decided that focusing on senior housing spoke to the firm’s commitment to service while also allowing it to develop an expertise and become a leader in the industry.
Liz Bush, senior vice president/director of senior living marketing and sales of Life Care Services has worked with Sheridan since the 1990’s. She recalled, “What I remember was the opportunity I had to meet a true professional who was focused on the needs of the client. Someone who was passionate about her recommendations; someone who was knowledgeable about the community and the market and someone who clearly demonstrated she was a team player. In all my years since, when we’ve had an opportunity to work together, she has always done what she said she was going to do – no surprises. She is a real pro who approaches life and work with a positive attitude.”
Noreen Mancini has worked as a graphic designer for Ivy since the company’s inception. “I’ve had the honor of working with Debbe from the start. In those twenty five years, the business has changed but what has remained constant is her dedication to being the best at what we do in the industry, and her complete integrity.”
Thankful for her success, Sheridan is serious about giving back to the community and nurturing young talent. In honor of the anniversary of Ivy Marketing, she decided to award an academic scholarship to an area student whose life has been impacted by seniors. Isabella Boesso, a recent graduate of Glenbard South High School who will study communications at DePaul University this fall, will receive the $1000 scholarship. “We wanted to honor someone who has not only interacted with seniors, but is influenced and inspired by the value of those encounters,” Sheridan said. “Isabella has worked as a food server at Brookdale Senior Living in Lisle. We could see that she’d be the perfect recipient of the scholarship as soon as we read her application essay. We’re thrilled to be celebrating 25 successful years of Ivy by helping a deserving student.”
