Paul Blodorn Joins the Control Solutions Team Representing the Quali-Pro Brand in the Northeastern Area

CSI announces that Paul Blodorn has joined its turf group as Northeastern area sales manager effective August 17, 2015.

Control Solutions is pleased to announce Paul Blodorn has accepted a position with CSI representing the Quali-Pro brand in the Northeastern Area. Paul will be working with distribution in this area to market the Quali-Pro brand to the Golf, Lawn Care, Nursery and Greenhouse Markets.

Paul began his golf maintenance career at the age of 16 working for the newly opened Atlantic Golf Club, located on the east end of Long Island. Following two summers of challenging, yet rewarding work, he decided to pursue a turfgrass management career at the University of Massachusetts. Shortly after receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Plant and Soils Science, Paul was offered the Head Superintendents position at the newly constructed East Hampton Golf Club, bringing him back to the east end of Long Island. He spent the next 15 years managing, maintaining and improving this Coore & Crenshaw masterpiece, eventually helping it make Golf Digests Top 30 Courses in New York State. During this time he also received certification status from the GCSAA.

Paul’s involvement in the Long Island GCSA as well as the GCSAA have helped him develop many lasting relationships with distributors and fellow superintendents. He has also volunteered at many tournaments including the 1995 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club. During his career he worked at several top courses on the east coast including Southampton Golf Club, Wilmington CC and The Rockaway Hunting Club.

Along with his extensive golf course background, Paul also brings with him a great deal of experience in the landscape maintenance field. He founded, operated and grew a successful full service landscape business in the Hamptons for 7 years. His involvement in this field allows him to better understand the unique needs and concerns of the lawn application industry.
