Leader in Data Stream Networks to Present at Microchip MASTERs Conference

PubNub, the leading Data Stream Network for IoT, mobile and web apps, today announced extensive support for Microchip Technology’s portfolio of 32-bit PIC® microcontrollers (MCUs). Microchip developers using its MPLAB® Harmony integrated software framework can now easily add realtime, bidirectional communications to Microchip’s PIC32 MCUs. PubNub’s global and secure Data Stream Network simplifies the deployment of Internet of Things (IoT) projects, such as remote control of devices, monitoring of and data collection from sensors and home or industrial automation. PubNub will provide additional information at its training workshop during Microchip’s 2015 MASTERS Conference taking place August 19-22 in Phoenix, Arizona.

With PubNub’s easy-to-use APIs, developers can quickly add realtime communication over wired, wireless and mobile IP networks. PubNub works seamlessly through firewalls with a security model that guarantees no open ports on IoT devices. Additionally, IoT developers can implement critical features including remote device control, secure firmware upgrades and plug-and-play device provisioning. PubNub’s advanced features include device status and metadata monitoring, fine-grain access control, message storage and playback, stream syndication, and automatic data catch-up on unreliable networks.

PubNub will be teaching an interactive evening class at Microchip’s Worldwide MASTERs Conference on August 20 that will walk participants through the steps of building a real-time Internet of Things (IoT) application using MPLAB Harmony and a PubNub PIC32 SDK. Attendees will learn the tenets of connecting devices to PubNub’s global Data Stream Network (DSN) via bi-directional TCP communication.
