Janice Hill Joins Proven Compliance Solutions Inc. Adding Depth to its NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Support Capabilities

We are excited about the additional support we can now offer our clients during this time of transition to CIP V5.

Proven Compliance Solutions Inc. (PCS) is pleased to announce the addition of Janice Hill of Orlando, Florida, as its new Sr. CIP Consultant, adding a wealth of knowledge and experience in the FRCC Region to its already strong and industry recognized CIP consulting capabilities. Janice comes to PCS from Gainesville Regional Utilities (GRU) in Gainesville, Florida, where her role included leading the efforts for the implementation of the CIP V5 NERC Reliability Standards from 2011 to 2015. As part of her role at GRU, Janice developed department document standards and cyber security policies, programs, plans, procedures and artifacts to achieve CIP V5 compliance. She was also responsible for leading the GRU Systems Control technical support team to replace the Energy Management System where she provided systems engineering, software engineering, and software process engineering technical expertise throughout the effort. Prior to that, Janice was the IT Director at GRU from 2009 to 2011 responsible for maintaining the corporate information technology system and mission critical software systems.

Janice became a part of the Electric Industry after 29 years in the Aviation and Space Industry where she worked for Rockwell, Lockheed Martin, United Space Alliance, and NASA at the Kennedy Space Center Florida. Her credentials include a Doctorate (ABD) in Computer Science from the Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, a Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida, Gainesville, a Master’s Degree in Software Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida, Gainesville.
