A&P Completes Nearly 200-Mile Ragnar Relay to Support St. Jude Children’s Hospital
Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) August 21, 2015 -- Brandishing bright white and green jerseys, 12 members of the Adolfson & Peterson Construction (A&P) family took on the Ragnar Relay Series this past weekend in Colorado, finishing 7th out of 118 teams in their division. Event proceeds went to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other deadly diseases.
The 194.6-mile relay race started in Copper Mountain, looped down through Frisco to Breckenridge, turned around for the uphill grind back through Copper, up and over Vail pass, down through Vail, Avon, Eagle to Glenwood Springs, turning to go up through Gypsum, ending in Snowmass – all in 28 hours, 25 minutes and 37 seconds.
“You don’t realize how far that is until you’re driving back,” said A&P Virtual Construction Manager Nick Young.
Ragnar participants describe this race as somewhat of a slumber party without sleep, pillows or deodorant that brings people together to celebrate healthy living and having fun. While there is no shortage of crazy costumes, inside jokes and elaborate van decorating, the cause is well worth it.
