“the number of potentially hazardous chemicals and ingredients that we apply to our skin is alarming. The skin is one of the largest human organs, and we want to educate the public on what exactly they are exposing themselves to."
Charleston, SC (PRWEB) August 27, 2015
Charleston, SC: Charleston Naturally has become Organaca.com. The company has rebranded to better reflect its mission of offering quality, organic skin and hair care products to customers on a global scale. The Organaca team searches the world to identify the best-performing and safest organic and natural beauty products. The company’s mission is to promote quality skin care, cosmetic, and hair care products that contain organic, natural, and safe ingredients. The company believes that consumers need to be educated about not only what they put in their bodies, but also about what they put on their bodies. While Europe has banned nearly 1,400 chemicals and ingredients in skin and hair care beauty products, the United States has currently banned 11. In addition, the United States has not passed major legislation to address the potentially hazardous chemicals used in beauty products since 1938. – Beautycounter.com
While somewhat counter-intuitive for business people to call for increased regulation, COO Ryan Jones believes the mission warrants such changes, saying that “the number of potentially hazardous chemicals and ingredients that we apply to our skin is alarming. The skin is one of the largest human organs, and we want to educate the public on what exactly they are exposing themselves to. As a company, we found it troubling that the FDA still allows known hazardous chemicals like formaldehyde, lead, and phthalates to be included in cosmetics and other beauty products, including baby products.”
In addition to offering safe, effective organic and natural beauty products, Organaca also plans to be an authoritative resource for educating consumers on potentially harmful ingredients. The company will not only instruct customers regarding what ingredients they should avoid, but they will also highlight the beneficial qualities of organic and natural ingredients. One feature the company is most excited about is a Teen Beauty video blog which will be launching soon. The two young women featured in the video series are amazingly talented and will help educate Organaca customers on “how to” content and also feature natural ingredients and their overall benefits.
The company has simple goals:
- Search the world for products made by people who care about what goes into and on your body, and into the environment
- Strive to educate customers about the benefits of organic products and their ingredients
- Operate Organaca with the highest environmental standards possible
- Give back to the communities that help foster the ingredients used in Organaca products and help those who are fighting to preserve the environment
