In this webinar, METTLER TOLEDO will present the main techniques of thermal analysis and present some typical applications.
Columbus, Ohio (PRWEB) August 21, 2015
Inorganic materials are widely used in the chemical industry in construction materials and agriculture. Thermal analysis can be used for the quality control and further development of inorganic materials. A sample of a few milligrams is sufficient to measure the most important properties and characteristics of such materials, including the specific heat capacity, glass transition, expansion coefficient, melting, crystallization, decomposition and moisture content.
The four main techniques of thermal analysis, DSC, TGA, TMA and DMA are ideal for the characterization of inorganic materials. The most important advantage is that properties can be measured as function of temperature or time over a wide temperature range, namely from 150 to 1600°C.
In this webinar, METTLER TOLEDO will present the main techniques of thermal analysis and present some typical applications. This webinar covers the following topics:
- Basic properties of inorganic materials
- Thermal analysis throughout industries
- Instrumentation and applications
- Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Flash DSC
- Thermogravimetry (TGA)
- Thermomechanical Analysis (TMA)
- Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA)
After the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss points of interest directly with METTLER TOLEDO application specialists.
