Early Evaluation Program Launched on, Crowd Funding for Community Support

WinDocks, a software startup came out of stealth mode today to announce WinDocks, the Docker Engine for Windows Server 2012. The company also announced a community funding campaign, and a projected October Beta release.

WinDocks brings Docker based .NET support on Windows Server 2012 to enterprise organizations and ISVs worldwide. The WinDocks team is also collaborating with Microsoft to ensure a smooth upgrade path to Microsoft Docker support on Azure and Windows Server 2016.

Ramesh Parameswaran, founder and CEO said, “We are pleased that the WinDocks Early Evaluation Program will enable DevOps to get started on Windows based Docker development.    The WinDocks Beta release is on-track for October, and our growing collaboration with Microsoft will ensure a smooth upgrade path for our customers.”

Docker has emerged as an industry standard for application packaging for cloud based applications, and Microsoft has announced plans to incorporate Docker support in Windows Server 2016. WinDocks support for Windows Server 2012 will accelerate innovation for .NET developers and the DevOps community globally.
