New York, NY (PRWEB) August 28, 2015 -- Voki introduces ready-to-teach animated lessons that are aligned with the Common Core and created by teachers for teachers.
Common Core standards have been gradually introduced and adopted by US states since 2010 with the aim of creating a consistent framework of teaching. Yet, common core aligned content in ready-to-teach form is not easy to come by.
Voki Teach, a new service from Voki, delivers ready made content in a novel and engaging fashion by using animated narrators. Teachers may edit the content and adapt it to their classroom needs and teaching style. Voki hopes that with Voki Teach, teachers will spend more time facilitating meaningful learning and less time preparing lesson materials.
Voki Teach, now part of the Voki suite of products, can help teachers engage their students and optimize their own time. This academic experience allows students to interact with animated characters similar to ones they see on TV, but with a slight scholastic twist. In the classroom, the characters act as educators, mentors, and experts, taking students on scientific, literary, and analytical adventures.
Voki Teach currently covers domains for grades K, 1 and 2, with additional material to be added over the course of the coming school year. Each lesson includes an interactive presentation, lesson guide and graphic organizer.
“The increasing emphasis of integrating technology into the classroom, as well as keeping abreast of evolving standards and curricula, is creating ever increasing demands on teachers.” says Lisa Nemeroff, Director of Marketing for Voki. “Voki Teach lies at the intersection of both of these trends and can help teachers meet these demands.”
Voki recruited a team of teachers, certified in Literacy, ESL, General Education, and Special Education, who combined best teaching practices with Common Core rigorous content. The team adapted the original themes into interactive animated form, while preserving the original goals of each lesson.
According to Nemeroff, Voki Teach provides teachers with tools to shorten lesson preparation time and integrate Common Core standards all while creating a fun and engaging environment that fosters learning.
“Voki promotes learning that is active, collaborative, constructive, authentic, and goal oriented:”
