Stave Puzzles, the company responsible for mind-boggling thousands of puzzlers with its handcrafted wooden jigsaw creations, celebrates 40 years as a leader in the industry. Founder and Chief Tormentor of Stave, Steve Richardson, debuted his newest puzzle design, The Devil’s Triangles, during the company’s $40,000 competition held at the Woodstock Inn, located in Woodstock, VT, earlier this month.
Fans, friends, and the Stave team spent the weekend toasting to a successful four decades and unveiling the new puzzle. Although The Devil’s Triangles puzzle proved too difficult to solve in the allotted 40 minutes of the competition, one determined puzzle enthusiast, Yvonne Yang from Annandale, VA, solved all four solutions by the following day. Yang is now the first and only non-Stave employee to solve the company’s newest and most imaginative design to date!
“Over the past 40 years my cohorts and I have used our imaginations, careful craftsmanship, and shared passion to completely reinvent the jigsaw puzzle experience,” said Richardson. “Emotions range from excitement to frustration when attempting one of our puzzles, which is one of the reasons why we have gained such a loyal following throughout the years. The Devil’s Triangles is one of our best puzzles yet, and we look forward to launching it to the public to continue the fun.”
Bill Gates, the Bush Family, and Queen Elizabeth II are just a few of the high-profile clients that have called on Stave to provide them with a truly unique puzzle experience. In addition to the company’s well-known Trick and Teaser puzzles, Stave also offers custom puzzle designs, which are also hand-cut by a team of skilled crafters. Stave’s heirloom-quality puzzles can only be purchased from the company website or by calling Stave, and can also be found at various inns and resorts nationwide, providing guests with an engaging, refined, and entertaining pastime.
