Rockfish Redesigns Website for Sunrun, Newly Announced IPO
Rogers, Ark. (PRWEB) August 26, 2015 -- A well-deserved “congratulations” is extended to Sunrun for announcing its Initial Public Offering (IPO) on August 4, 2015. Also during this exciting time, Rockfish is proud to report the launch of Sunrun’s new website, sunrun.com.
Sunrun wanted to debut a refreshed corporate site to coincide with the timing of its IPO launch. A majority of the residential solar electricity provider’s needs were hinged upon User Experience (UX), one of Rockfish’s areas of expertise. After kicking off the project with a UX workshop at the Sunrun offices, Rockfish and Sunrun set goals for the website redesign.
The goal was to simplify the website and to portray the idea that navigating the new site is just as easy as “going solar.”
Sunrun wanted to streamline the site, provide a clear user journey, and allow users to quickly and easily access information. By improving these characteristics, Sunrun hoped to maximize customer satisfaction and fuel company growth.
"We are so excited about our partnership with Sunrun, and congratulate them on their recent IPO,” says Michael Stich, Chief Innovation Officer at Rockfish. “They are changing the energy industry with their innovative solar solutions, and we're honored that they chose Rockfish to do the same for their digital experiences.”
Rockfish brings a new, refreshed look to the site through creative concept and design, along with increased speed and performance. The now fully responsive website allows customers to interact with Sunrun material on desktop, tablet and mobile devices with ease, while the polished and engaging platform encourages guests to stay awhile and explore what Sunrun has to offer and learn about Sunrun’s service territory. The site also allows users to calculate their savings and learn more about the solar process.
Additionally, Rockfish moved the website to a more robust CMS that allows for improved content management, as well as supporting all of the integrations and modules required by Sunrun for its business.
“We think the new sunrun.com delivers a smart and inspiring experience for Sunrun’s customers, investors and partners,” adds Stich. “It's a great collaboration, and we're just getting started.”
"Sunrun has been experiencing incredible growth and we are excited to now have a website that mirrors our success," says Michael Grasso, Chief Marketing Officer of Sunrun. "Rockfish’s expertise in usability, strategy and design yielded a clean and responsive site that both engages and educates consumers on what Sunrun has to offer."

The company designs, installs, finances, insures, monitors and maintains the solar panels on a homeowner's roof, while families pay just for the electricity at a lower rate than they pay their current utility.
